Welcome to the Danville Library

DanvilleHomeAs a public service institution, the Public Library of Mount Vernon and Knox County exists solely to promote the cultural, intellectual, educational, and recreational welfare of the Knox County community. Its primary method of fulfilling that role is to collect, preserve and make easily available to its patrons books, periodicals, pamphlets, recordings, videos, compact discs, tapes and other materials, both print and non-print, to serve their informational, educational, and recreational needs.

We invite everyone in to come in and experience what we have to offer at either our main branch here in Mount Vernon or at any of our other branches in Danville, Fredericktown, and Gambier. There are often events scheduled for young and old alike.
We would also like to extend an invitation to all of our patrons to become even more deeply involved with their public library. This can be done through either of two great programs, Friends of the Library and as a Volunteer.

Danville Story Time will begin Thursday from 10:30 am to 11:30 am at the Danville Library

Registration is not required and all children are welcome. This program is free and sponsored by the Public Library of Mount Vernon and Knox County.
