Digital Downloads Provided Free of Charge by the Public Library of Mount Vernon and Knox County
Digital Downloads are available from the library through four separate services, Freegal, The Ohio Ebook Project, One Click Digital and BYKI Language Learning. Freegal provides free downloadable MP3 music from the Sony Music Catalog for all library patrons.Each patron is alloted 3 free music downloads per week. The downloaded MP3 files become the property of the patron. Access to Freegal requires your library card number (on back of card) and a pin number for the card. If you do not have a pin number, please call (740) 392-BOOK. |

The Ohio Ebook Project provides free downloadable ebooks, audiobooks, music and video. All of these formats can be downloaded to our patrons' personal computers and then transferred to select devices (mp3 players, smart phones, tablet computers, etc.) Digital items are checked out to patrons for a period of 7 or 14 days (patron's choice). Patrons may have to join a waiting list for high demand items. "Public Library of Mount Vernon and Knox County" and then enter their library card barcode number each time they sign in to check out items. NEW! One Click Digital Audiobooks. Download digital audiobooks to your computer and transfer to select devices. Sign in the first time with your library card number to establish a user name and password. From then on, only the user name and password will be needed. If you have a Windows Operating System, download the Media Manager software for "One-Click" access to your titles. |

Transparent Language Online with Byki provides both online access to language learning programs and downloadable language resources that may be accessed through the Byki mobile application on Iphone, Ipad, Ipad Touch, and Android devices. Patrons must sign up for Transparent Language Online on a library computer to establish a user name and password. Then the service may be accessed through the Internet from any computer. |
