Gambier Summer Reading Program
The Gambier and Danville Public Libraries' Summer Reading Programs will feature Magical Entertainer Greg Carson who will entertain children of all ages with his brand of magic, comedy and mystery, on Wednesday, June 25 from 10 am to 11 am at the Gambier Library, and on Thursday, June 26 from 1 pm to 2 pm at St. Luke's Community Center in Danville.
This is Carson's third year of performing for SRP and according to Manager Betty Durbin "the kids love him. He keeps them interested, has them actively participate and engaged the entire hour. He brings out the kid in all of us, and that's why we ask him back."
This program is free and open to the public and is sponsored by the Public Library of Mount Vernon and Knox County. |

As a public service institution, the Public Library of Mount Vernon
and Knox County exists solely to promote the cultural, intellectual,
educational, and recreational welfare of the Knox County community.
Its primary method of fulfilling that role is to collect, preserve
and make easily available to its patrons books, periodicals, pamphlets,
recordings, videos, compact discs, tapes and other materials, both
print and non-print, to serve their informational, educational,
and recreational needs.
We invite everyone in to come in and experience what we have to
offer at either our main branch here in Mount Vernon or at any of
our other branches in Danville, Fredericktown, and Gambier. There
are often events scheduled for young and old alike.
We would also like to extend an invitation to all of our patrons
to become even more deeply involved with their public library. This
can be done through either of two great programs, Friends of the
Library and as a Volunteer.
