KnoxNet Help

There are two ways to get help with setting up, or using your KnoxNet account.

By Phone:
Call the Helpline at (740)392-3400. KnoxNet attempts to have volunteers available from 6:00pm - 8:00pm Monday through Thursday. However, if no one is available to answer your call, you can leave a voice mail message. Leave your name, phone number, and a brief description of the problem and a volunteer will return your call as soon as possible.  Currently, there are very few volunteers, so please leave a message and be patient.

By email:
Email your question (include your name, your phone number, your email, and a description of the problem) to library@knox.net.

Please keep in mind that KnoxNet technical support is staffed by volunteers. Currently, volunteer help is very limited and it frequently can take days (to well over a week) to answer phone and email messages. Further, we generally do not have the ability to provide extensive technical support, we cannot guarantee resolution to all problems, and we absolutely cannot make housecalls.

KnoxNet is a free service to members of the Knox County community. If the level of service we are able to provide does not meet your needs, you may want to consider one of the other local internet providers.

There are also other resources for technical support:

Web sites for technical help
There are many web sites that provide technical help for free or for a modest fee. KnoxNet cannot endorse any of these but some are:

Nearly all major vendors of computing technology have a web site.  Many of these web sites have searchable indexes of technical information, or FAQs (frequently asked questions).

Training Opportunities
The Knox County Career Center and other organizations offer courses and workshops in the use of KnoxNet and internet resources. Some the local internet providers also offer training.
