There are currently no job openings available, however you are
invited to fill out an employment application at the Main Circulation Desk and
we will keep your application on file for future openings.
Volunteers Do Make a Difference!
The above statement is the motto of the Volunteer Department of the Public Library of Mount Vernon and Knox County.
You too can be a library volunteer, and help make a difference. You will simply need to ask for a
volunteer application at the main library circulation desk. Your application will be reviewed and you
will be called in for an interview, and then placed where your talents and interests are best used.
We currently have volunteers helping to shelve books, designing display cases and windows, perform
book repair, straightening magazines, etc. We would be very interested in you becoming part of the
Volunteer Program. If you have any questions, please call (740)392-2665 ext. 242.
