Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees of the Public Library of Mount Vernon and Knox County consists of seven members. Three are appointed by the judges of the court of common pleas and four are appointed by the board of county commissioners, all for a term of seven years. Vacated positions shall be filled by the same body who previously appointed the vacating trustee, and the term of the replacement is the remainder of the term of the vacated position. Members of the Board of Trustees serve without compensation. The organization and powers of the Board of Trustees are governed by sections 3375.06, 3375.12, 3375.15, 3375.22, 3375.30, and 3375.32-3375.41 of the Ohio Revised Code.
