Important Spyware Information
Spyware, Adware, and Malware are some of the most predominant
issues with Internet users these days. Just simply being on
the Internet and browsing opens your computer to a world of
issues.
These programs install by several methods; installing silently,
disguising themselves as a legitimate program, or a program
designed to "help" perform computer functions. In
some cases you will be browsing the Internet and have a message
pop up telling you there is spyware on your computer, "CLICK
HERE" to use our deletion software. This is a typical
method used, in downloading their software you are actually
opening the door for more spyware. We have several programs
we have tested for spyware removal that appear in our
downloads area. Please note
we do not support the software, but are referring you to software
that we have implemented.

NEW... Zotob Computer
Worm
A new computer worm has been detected globally
that spreads on unpatched Windows systems faster that previously
released worms. The new worm named "Zotob" takes
advantage of a critical security flaw within Windows that
was plugged last week on update Tuesday.
Zotob works by copying itself into the Windows
System folder as either BOTZOR.EXE or CSM.EXE, and modifies
a user's "hosts" file to prevent access to antivirus
Web sites. The worm initiates an FTP server on port 3333 and
scans IP addresses using port 445 for other vulnerable systems.
Aside from propagating itself, however, Zotob
also has built in backdoor capabilities. The worm connects
to an Internet Relay Chat channel and awaits remote instructions
from a malicious user. Due to such actions, Trend Micro has
rated Zotob's damage potential as "high."
Trend recommends that Windows users ensure they have installed
the latest patches from Microsoft and run an up-to-date antivirus
utility.
Please click the link below to download the Microsoft Malicious
Software Removal tool 1.71 that can remove the Zotab worm
and its variants.
