A member of the Library staff has tested positive for COVID-19. For the safety of our patrons and other Library staff, the Public Library of Mount Vernon and Knox County is Closed until Tuesday, December 8 at 9:00 AM. All of our online services are still active and patrons may still contact us via the online chat, social media and email. The Gambier Community Library and the Fredericktown Community Library are open for business as usual. The Danville Public Library walk up window is open as well as curbside service during their open hours. The Danville Municipal Building is closed to the public until Monday, December 14th. FOOD FOR FINES

Food for Fines begins Monday, November 16 through Friday, December 11, 2020. Patrons may bring in non-perishable food items, cat and dog food (any brand) to pay their library fines. 1 item = $1.00. We do not accept any expired food nor do we accept any items for replacement costs of items lost and not returned. Patrons may bring in items to the Public Library of Mount Vernon and Knox County, Danville Public Library, Gambier Community Library and the Fredericktown Community during open hours.
