Children's Take It and Go Craft

Stop by the circulation desk at the Fredericktown Community Library anytime on the first of the month and pick up a Children's Take It and Go craft. Free and available while supplies last.

Cook Book Club 2025

Fredericktown Community Library 2025 Cookbook Club meets on the 2nd Thursday each month at 5:30 p.m. at the library. Books are available at the library. Using a pre-selected cookbook...prepare a recipe to bring and share with the group. Enjoy trying new dishes and a chance to win the cookbook, courtesy of the Friends of the Library.

Fredericktown Community Library Family Storytime

Tuesdays at 3:45 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. join us for Family Storytime. Enjoy a story and a craft. No registration necessary. Free and open to the public. All ages welcome.

Fredericktown Youth Storytime

Fredericktown Community Library Storytime for ages 1 through 8, on Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. at the library. No registration necessary. Each week, Storytime will be a different theme. Free and open to the public.

Turkey Bingo

Come and join us for a special holiday Bingo on Monday, November 10, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the library. We will have gift cards as prizes and the grand prize winner will receive a frozen turkey for your holiday table. Refreshments provided. Registration required. We hope to see you there! Free and open to the public. All ages welcome.

Please join us on Monday, November 17, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Fredericktown Community Library to experience a new way of wood burning while creating a cozy place to set your favorite beverage. Garland's Reading Challenge

Sign up for Garland's Reading Challenge beginning Thursday, December 4th through Thursday, December 18th, and read five holiday books from the Fredericktown Community Library. After completing the reading challenge, stop by the library on Thursday, December 18th, between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to decorate a cookie and enjoy some hot chocolate with your family. We will also have a special Storytime and crafts. Free and open to the public. For children, ages 0-14.

Family Holiday Craft: Decorated Oven Mitts

Family Holiday Craft on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Fredericktown Community Library. Registration begins on Monday, December 1, 2025. Stop by the Fredericktown Library to register or call 740-694-2665. Come to the library and decorate an oven mitt to give away at Christmas or keep for yourself. All supplies provided. Refreshments served. Open to all ages. Free and open to the public.

Adult Craft: Folded Book Christmas Tree

Monday, December 15, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Fredericktown Community Library, join us for a very special craft of repurposing old books into a beautiful home decor piece. All supplies provided. Registration required, beginning Monday, December 1, 2025. Stop by the Library or call 740-694-2665 to register. Free and open to the public. For ages 18+.

Fredericktown Birthday Club

Celebrate your Birthday by signing up for the club. Stop in and sign up each year. During your birthday month you will receive a postcard that you need to bring into the Fredericktown Community Library to receive your birthday treat and a balloon.

Fredericktown Storybook Trail

Look for the Storybook Trail on the dirt path between Levering and Merrin Park, located at 130 Stadium Drive, Fredericktown. Enjoy a small nature walk while reading a picture book.

Our featured title is How to Get Your Octopus to School by Becky Scharnhorst.

The Storybook Trail will be changed out quarterly, so be sure to check out future titles.
