Knox Network of Nonprofits is a collaboration between the Public Library of Mount Vernon and Knox County, the Knox County Foundation and a steering committee of volunteer professionals who seek to support and strengthen area nonprofits by:
- Providing training and professional development opportunities for nonprofit professionals and emerging organizations.
- Connecting nonprofit leaders with peer organizations to share resources, information, and professional insights.
- Creating a one-stop clearinghouse of online funding resources, books, and periodicals available at the Public Library of Mount Vernon and Knox County.
Knox Network of Nonprofit Events Knox Network of Nonprofits exists to bring people together! Our event format varies: sometimes we have panel discussions, sometimes we have round-table discussions in small groups and sometimes we have speakers.

- A “Funder Five” speaker from a local grant making agency, who gives a brief 5-minute overview of their organization’s funding priorities, history, and mission.
- Networking time so attendees can get to know peers and make connections.
- A few minutes for announcements including calls for volunteers and resources needed/available.

Knox Network of Nonprofits continues with free trainings in the new year! Join us on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at 9:30 a.m. in the Knox Memorial Ballroom at 112 E. High St., Mount Vernon. You'll hear from local nonprofits as they share their marketing strategies and success stories.
